Data Deletion Request

Weltrop processes guest personal data on behalf of hotels. This page explains what
data we hold and how guests can request deletion of their data.
What data we hold about guests
- Your name and WhatsApp phone number
- Your check-in and check-out dates
- Your address details (provided during web check-in)
- Government-issued ID photo (uploaded during web check-in)
- Food and beverage orders placed during your stay
- Service requests made during your stay
- Feedback or star rating submitted after checkout
How to request deletion
You have two options:
Option 1 — Contact the hotel directly
- Message the hotel on WhatsApp and ask them to delete your data.
- Hotel staff can delete your guest record directly from their Weltrop dashboard.
Option 2 — Email Weltrop
- Email us at admin@weltrop.com.
- Include your full name and the name of the hotel you stayed at.
- We will verify and process the request within 30 days.
- You will receive a confirmation once deletion is complete.
What gets deleted
- Your WhatsApp number and name
- Your stay record (check-in/check-out dates, room assignment)
- Your ID photo and address details
- All food orders and service requests from your stay
- Any feedback or ratings you submitted
Automatic deletion
ID photos are automatically deleted 30 days after checkout, regardless of whether a
deletion request has been made. This is in compliance with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP).
Legal retention exceptions
Some data may be retained even after a deletion request if required by applicable Indian law.
Hotel registration records (name, ID, address, dates of stay) may be required to be maintained
by hotels under the Foreigners Act, 1946 and applicable state hotel registration regulations.
In such cases, we will inform you of any data that cannot be immediately deleted and the reason why.
